Baraut city is a moderate developed city in Baghpat district of Uttar Pradesh. This city is located 55 km away from Delhi and 54 km away from Meerut. This city  is very ancient as of the time period of Mahabharata and lying between Ganga and Yamuna river plains.

Its average elevation is 231 m(758 feet) above the sea level.Baraut has a total population of 1,03,764 according to census report 2019.The literacy rate of Baraut city is 76.8%.
