Dalhousie is the most famous hill station and also very much beutiful tourist destination for all kinds of person such as peace lover, nature lover, adventurous lover person, family vacation,newly married couple birds also. Dalhousie spread out over four hills (Kathlog portrays, Tehra,Bakrota and Balun).
Dalhousie's  verying altitude shades it with a variety of vegetation that includes stately grooves of  pines, Deodars,oaks and flowering rhododendrons.






This beautiful town is named after the 19th century British governor Lord Dalhousie. The town is rich in colonial structure and preserve some beautiful churchs. Dalhousie is also rich in adventurous activities you can enjoy paragliding,trekking,camping etc. also. The scene of sunset looks very pretty from your camp tent.

Dalhousie is very green lush area where you can find marvelous forest trails overlook vistas of wooded hills,waterfalls,springs and rivulets.
Like a silver snake finding its way out of the mountain the twists and the turns of  Ravi river are a treat to watch from very vantage points .

Weather of Dalhousie is almost cool all over the year but i suggest you to not come ther in monsoon season because in monsoon there is landsliding over road and the roads may be closed.but in winter you can build snowman in everywhere you want in Dalhousie because Dalhousie is covered with snow in winter and you can also enjoy skiing ,sliding on snow.

By Air

The nearest air port is at Pathonkot, 90 Km from Dalhousie. Other reachable air ports are Kangra(106 km), Amritsar (213 km) and Chandigrah(317 km).

The nearest railway station is at Pathonkot,90 Km from Dalhousie . Regular trains to pathankot from New delhi.

By Road

The Himachal Road Transport Corporation runs long distance services throughout the state from their main stands at Shimla, Solan, Kangra, Dharmsala and Pathnakot and from locations in the adjoining states of Delhi, Punjab, Haryana and Chandigarh(UT). Private buses, serving everywhere else, frequent and provide a relaxed mode of commuting.
