Taleru - The only water sports point in chamba
Chamba valley is the most beautiful valley and also known as Shiv Bhoom because of the adobe of Lord Shiva. Chamba valley is famous for its art ,culture, painting, landscape, mountains,crafts,temples, Handlooms and much more such as Car sports, trekking, mountaineering and also for its water sports.
The famous and only water sports in chamba is Taleru. Taleru water sports point is located 34 km away from chamba and 23 km away from Banikhet.
This water sports point has a water bodies like lake which is 150m deep and around 5 km large.you can enjoy boating, rafting and sightseeing at Taleru . This lake is surrounded with beautiful mountains and skyscrapers peak of mountains covered with snow. Taleru
Is located near the men made Dam known as Chamera Dam.

when to visit Taleru water Sports point
The weather of Taleru is very cool all over the year but you can reach here in summer or the time period of march to june. In winter and rainy season it is not good to visit there because in winter the temperature here is very low and maybe the the lake is freeze due to snow .and in rainy season the water level is very high and there is a chance of landslide on road to Taleru. I suggest you to go there in the season of summer to enjoy the joy of Taleru.
How to reach Taleru water sports point.
Taleru is 34 km away from chamba, 23 km away from Banikhet and 105 km away from Pathankot. To reach Taleru first you have to reach Chamera Dam or also known as Chamera lake then you have to walk on foot about 1 km distance to reach Taleru.
Chamera lake or Dam is accessible by road from almost everywhere.
Public Bus and private Bus services is available from chamba and Pathankot to Chamera Dam. You can hire a private taxi from chamba, Banikhet and Pathankot also .
You can visit khajjiar and jot which also are very beautiful place near Chamera Dam and Banikhet when you visit there .
